“Mostly grass setting, the hardstandings which we wanted were fewer in number and from a commercial viewpoint they give these to long bookings and seasonal pitches.
It was really really wet, but their ground is really good draining, which due entirely to the quality of infrastructure that the whole place demonstrates.
The toilet decoration is well above the often clinical and functional norm, which makes it more like a home than a campsite.
This is the first year wardens have been employed, and the owners struck gold with the couple they have, the jolliest most positive chap I’ve seen on a site with an equally friendly wife.
The fact they are motorhomers with their own lovely rig on site surely helps.
Nicely laid out, can imagine on a nice summers day, how calming it would be to sit in the sun, our weather was not conducive to that.
Would definitely recommend this site, a labour of love for the very hard working owners whom we had the pleasure of spending a bit of time with, great example of hard graft now with rewards reflecting decades of this being their life 24/7.”

We decided to select a local adults only campsite wanting peace and quiet, what we got was peace, quiet, a beautiful campsite, very helpful ‘wardens’ and clean enough to eat your dinner off…..
All in all very very nice, well kept, very clean, lashings of hot water.
We would recommend this for a peaceful break with excellent facilities.

“This was a return to my roots as I grew up in Hollesley! What a wonderful, peaceful, clean, well run, friendly and pretty campsite this is. We treated ourselves to a fully serviced pitch which was spacious and made life easy. We enjoyed lovely distant views out to Shingle Street too. The local pub (Sheppard and Dog) is dog friendly and the two meals we are there were delicious. We’ll definitely be back to Run Cottage camp site in Hollesley 🙂”

May 2019 Lovely stay in a ‘pod’
“We had a lovely nights stay here during the Easter break! We only stayed for one night but could have easily stayed for much longer if our schedule had allowed it! The site itself is immaculate, staff are warm and welcoming and all of the facilities are clean and modern.. also never with a queue which helps! The pod has everything you need (tv, kettle, fridge, bbq area) and is finished to a very high standard, very cosy and the private terrace is lovely place to while away an evening. Site is also walking distance to the beach and a few lovely pubs – we’ll definitely be back!”
