Summer 2013

“Just spent a few days at Run Cottage, the site was very well laid out and maintained. Good selection of pitches all seemed very generous in size. The toilet and showers were clean and adequate, not a big lover of having to keep pressing the button to keep the water flowing. The site owners were welcoming, but not intrusive, made for a very relaxing stay. Surprised to see that they don’t allow ground sheets of any kind on grass, but knew this before I booked, so not a problem, as I didn’t intend to put the awning up just for a few nights. Walked to the local pub for a drink, like the local shop it was about a 10 min walk. Would certainly re-visit but would go for hard standing next time.”

Summer 2013

“First time visiting the area and this turned out to be a very good choice of camp-site on which to stay for nearly two weeks.

Very friendly welcome and considerate to us and out two young children. Facilities were clean and adequate for the number on the site though it would appear that the owner was fitting out two further shower/toilet rooms at the time of our stay. As a family we used the large disabled shower room that was great for us and the young ones as the other shower cubicles just fitted one.

The area is wonderful with much to see and do.

We would recommend visiting the coast at shingle shore, Offord, Aldeburgh and Thorpeness and visiting Framlingham, Offord and Felixstowe castles/forts. Also a day in the nearby forest is great for the family.

We did need to drive out much of the time though a few walks into the village were pleasant and the kids enjoyed the sparse playground at the village hall.

Thoroughly recommend the site and the area and already planning a visit for next year before heading off to the nearby Folk East 2014.”

February 2015

We would just like to say thank you for a pleasant stay on Saturday night. It was our first ever night away in our recently purchased motor home.

On our arrival we were greeted, and shown where to park, and where all the facilities were. You made our first trip a pleasant and memorable experience.

We found everyone to be so friendly and helpful. Really impressed with the shower block, and find it hard to believe that anywhere else could better your facilities.

Wish you, your wife and family every success in your continued development of Run Cottage Touring Park.

Best wishes,

Mark & Anne.

August 2015

Dear Michele  and Andy.
Once again Jackie and I would like to thank you for your wonderful hospitality at your superb site.It has to be one of the best campsites in the Anglia region if not the best in the whole of the South East. Having been lucky enough to have visited you on numerous occasions we still marvel at the way you keep the site in such magnificent condition what ever the weather. Speaking with a number of the other campers they were all over the moon with their choice and were unanimous in their opinions of the exceptional cleanliness and condition of Run Cottage. So once again thank you very much and we look forward to seeing you in the not to distant future.
Richard Jackie Danielle and not forgetting our dogs

August 2015
This is a first class touring park. The standard of the park and all its facilities are quite simply superb. Attention to detail is clearly paramount to the owners. The pitches are large, very well maintained and in a beautiful setting. The dog walk area is large, fully enclosed and, again, very well maintained. The toilet/shower block are of a high standard and we particularly liked the 2 family bathrooms which have a shower, toilet and basin. There is endless hot water in well equipped facilities. There is a lovely information room which is really well stocked. Don’t be put off by the no groundsheet policy, we were initially surprised as most of us use groundsheets but it’s actually really nice to have grass as your carpet in the awning. The owners describe the grass as being like your lawn at home and they’re right, they mow it frequently and maintain it really well.

We would highly recommend The Dog & Shepherd, the local pub in the village. It’s a short and pleasant walk to the pub where you will get really good, reasonably priced food and a great selection of real ales. It’s very dog friendly both inside, appropriately apart from the restaurant, and in the garden. The landlord, landlady and locals are really welcoming and friendly and will happily give you interesting and helpful information about the local area. We obtained a book of local walks around the Deben. They are lovely walks in a very beautiful area.

We had the misfortune to have a car accident during our holiday. The owners, Andy and Michelle could not have been more helpful and supportive. We would highly recommend this site, it’s definitely in our top 3 nationwide. Thanks Andy & Michelle for a fabulous place to stay.
